I've been around cameras my entire life (ever since 5th grade). Camera operating is such an exciting aspect of film production. Lighting, framing, and motion are all elements that drive the feeling and emotion of the viewer, and it all happens on the frontend of production.
Since early 2014, I've been immersed in event videography, starting with filming concerts and shows for marketing companies. This experience has given me a strong understanding of the ebbs and flows of live event shooting.
Film production is probably my favorite form of video, as it allows for intentionality to bring a vision to life, telling a story for the viewer in a lasting and impactful way. While I've primarily worked as a camera operator on sets, I've experienced a range of production positions, including sound, grip (lighting), set dressing, and back-end engineering.
My passion in film production lies in storytelling. I love utilizing every element of film to evoke specific emotions from viewers, which is why I ventured into video editing.
I have been editing on a professional level since 2023. Before that I was primarily working in graphic design and only editing personal projects. My background in graphic design helped me understand feedback and client relations and has proven useful when it comes to proofing in my current position. I am the sole videographer and video editor for one of the largest churches on the west coast of Florida. In the last few years my skill set in this area has greatly expanded and it has grown into a personal passion.
What I enjoy most about editing is telling a story. I watch films and analyze how directors convey their narratives through techniques like color grading, sound, lighting, silence/pacing, and camera motion. I then apply these industry techniques in my edits to effectively communicate the story that the client wants the viewer to hear and see.
I have recently fallen in love with color grading footage, an essential aspect of film production that often goes unnoticed by viewers but can significantly set the tone for the entire film. In my videography projects, I grade in Davinci Resolve and utilize nodes, which has greatly enhanced my ability to achieve the perfect grade. This skill complements my passion for graphic design and video editing, allowing me to create visually stunning narratives.
Over the years of working in the creative space, particularly in areas like event videography and film production, I have learned about various forms of media that can be utilized. This knowledge allows me to make informed suggestions to clients on exporting techniques and methods of use for different projects.

This is a Youth Camp Recap video that was shot the day before and edited that night and morning of the viewing at chapel. This was a quick turnaround and I had a team of 3 shooters assisting me while I was in my dungeon editing.
