One of my favorite ways to create is through 3D modeling. I feel as though the limits are endless and I get lost in the world of creation.
I use both real-time and raytracing render engines via Blender (EEVEE and CYCLES), incorporating advanced Blender shading techniques to enhance my projects.
I work to ensure that my artwork is modeled in a way that makes it efficient and seamless to use across projects if that is required (i.e. using standard sizing/units, and formatting the asset tray to be organized, batched, and baked when needed).
I have done very little work in VFX. I primarily focus on motion tracking and lighting match. The VFX projects I’ve worked on required minimal coverage and were on screen for a very short period. As I continue to explore 3D modeling and delve into Blender, I see myself getting more involved in VFX as time goes on and as projects demand this specialty.
Shading is an essential aspect of 3D modeling that truly brings your model to life. Without appropriate textures, the model won't interact with light and its environment as intended. Creating custom shaders for Blender can be quite time-consuming, especially in the realm of VFX. I have hands-on experience in shading using Blender's node system.
